Gilgit-Baltistan CM calls on Nayyer Bokhari

ISLAMABAD, Dec. 23: Gilgit-Baltistan Chief Minister Syed Mehdi Shah called on Leader of the House in the Senate, Senator Nayyer Bokhari at the Parliament House on Tuesday. Bokhari congratulated him on the establishment of the Gilgit-Baltistan democratic government and they discussed bilateral issues.
Bokhari said the victory of Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) in the Gilgit-Baltistan elections proves that PPP is a national party, with a huge vote bank all over the country. He said that our leader Benazir Bhutto Shaheed is the symbol of the federation and we are following in her footsteps. The democratic government in Gilgit-Baltistan is the result of the political vision of Benazir Bhutto Shaheed, who gave the legal framework to the Northern Areas in 1994.Mehdi Shah said the democratic government of PPP would do its best to fulfil the mission of Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto by giving the people of Gilgit-Baltistan their democratic rights.
